44 私が制作した４つの作品には幾つかのキーワードがある―簡素で、とらえ難く、日常的で、「静寂」のような―。研修室２と研修室３の間の通路に設置されたサイトスペシフィック作品では、小さな禅の庭を作るために苔と石灰岩を、空間の雰囲気を新しく作り出すために竹と録音した洞窟の音をそれぞれ用いた。足を踏み入れた観客には静寂が訪れる。「静寂」とは無音ではなく、音を立てず耳を澄ますことを意味している。周囲や自分自身に耳を傾けるのである。そこで人々が意識的に何も考えることなく、時間を過ごせることを望んでいる。寂び / Silence竹、オーディオデバイス / Bamboo, Audio deviceI made four works based on a few keywords ? simple,subtle, daily, like "Silence", it is a site-specific workbetween Seminar Room 2 and 3, I used the mossand limestone to make a small Zen garden, as well asbamboos and the sound from caves to re-create anatmosphere of the space. When people come in, theywill experience a silence. "Silence" ? this does not meanthat there is no sound. But it means that we do notmake a sound but just listen, listen to the environment,and listen to yourself. I hope that people can enjoy theirtime without thinking anything consciously.
