62マリ・マキオ写真家・美術家フィンランド出身・在住 マリ･マキオはフィンランドのヘルシンキで活動するアーティストである。アールト大学の写真学科修士課程を修了し、写真に加え、ビデオ、音響、テキスト、公文書素材などを用いて創作活動を行っている。通常、彼女の作品は空間的なインスタレーションである。彼女の作品にとって重要なことは、異なる地位やバックグラウンドの人たちと一緒に創作することである。作品は、フィンランドや海外のギャラリー、美術館に展示されている。マリの創作活動は、人間の経験という、きわめて根源的な問いから始まっている。世界の主観的な経験や、人と人とのコミュニケーション、また私たちが個人的および集団として生産する物語が、彼女の作品の基礎となっている。現在、マリは視覚的な感覚とその他の感覚の関係、また視覚的な世界を言語に翻訳することに関心を持っている。Photography, Visual ArtBorn in Finland, lives and works in FinlandMari Makio is an artist who lives and works in Helsinki,Finland. She holds a Master of Arts Degree fromDepartment of Photography at Aalto University. Inaddition to photography she works with video, sound,text and archival material. Makio's works are usually spatialinstallations. An important part of her work is creating thecontent of the work together with people from differentpositions and backgrounds. Her works have been ondisplay at galleries and museums in Finland and abroad.Makio's artistic work starts with the very basic questionsof human experience. Subjective experiences of theworld, communication between people and narrativeswe individually and collectively produce are the basesof her work.
