13Residence ProjectIn Akiyoshidai, through workshops with the locals, sheendeavored to experience how the objet, body, andpersonal stories could relate to each other and howthat attract and be expanded to new meanings. Listeningto the locals’ stories and having that as a basefor further research, she produced the performance. is the fourth performance work of her series which she has been working onsince 2016. In this work, encompassing the overseasstudy boom which appeared since the late 1990’sin South Korea, the social phenomenon of “KI-RO-GIfamily”, her father’s frequent business trips to Japanwhen she was young, her own travels to Japan andher stay in Akiyoshidai right now, she talks about love,romance, freedom, and fidelity.* KI-RO-GI family. A family in which the children andthe mother are in English speaking country for thesake of the children’s education and the father staysalone in the home country to work and support themfinancially. “KI-RO-GI” is a Korean term for goose.The term comes from the goose itself for it flies fromfar to bring food and devotes itself to the young inorder to maintain relationship with one spouse for life.滞在制作プロジェクト ここ秋吉台では地域住民とのワークショップを通じてオブジェと体、個人の物語がどのように連携できるのか、そしてそれがどのように他の意味を惹きつけ、拡張されるかを地域住民と一緒に経験しようとした。 ワークショップをはじめとした地域住民との交流を通じてこの地域と彼らの話を収集して、それらをリサーチの素材にしてパフォーマンスを製作した。 < ロマンス> は2016 年から制作している< ロス>シリーズの四度目のパフォーマンスだ。90 年代以降、韓国で見られる早期留学ブームと" キロギ家族" と言う社会現象、幼い頃の父親の頻繁な日本出張、自身の日本旅行や現在の秋吉台での生活などを基にしながら、愛とロマンス、自由、信頼について述べる。* キロギ家族…妻子を海外に留学させ、父親は仕送りのために働きながら一人暮らしをしている家族。キロギとは韓国語で鳥の" 雁"。一生一羽の配偶者と関係を維持するため、遠く離れたところまで飛んで餌を取り、ひな鳥に与えて献身する雁の姿に由来する。 Hiroko Inoue Hitoshi Oda Kuniko Tsuboi Keiko Kawasaki Kaori Oda Performance documentation: Hitoshi Oda<ワークショップ参加者> 井上 弘子 小田 均 坪井 邦子 川﨑 慶子 小田 香<写真> パフォーマンス記録撮影: 小田 均
