22写真、ビジュアルアートオランダ出身1979年生まれ。2001年、ロイヤル・アカデミー・オブ・アートのフォトグラフィー・デザインを卒業。彼女の作品は、人類学的観点に源を発し、東洋の哲学と人文学を中心とした歴史的・文化的研究に基づいている。風景や都市景観に干渉し、過去や現在の要素を使って（演劇のような）現代的物語を構築するため、（人工的な）自然を「ステージ」として使う。写真は自作の物や既製品と登場人物などで構成され、想像と現実の相互作用を見せるものとなる。Photography, Visual ArtThe NetherlandsIlse Leenders (1979) graduated her studiesPhotographic Design at The Royal Academy of Art(KABK) in The Hague, The Netherlands in 2001.Her work originates from an anthropologicalperspective and is founded by historical and culturalresearch, with focus on eastern philosophy andhumanities. She interferes in land- or cityscapes anduse the (artificial) nature as a ‘stage’ to constructa (theatre-like) contemporary story with elementsutilized from the past and present.
