秋吉台国際芸術村 Akiyoshidai International Art Village レジデンス・サポート・プログラム

33滞在制作プロジェクト　2 作品制作しました。　両作品とも、滞在中に行ったワークショップから派生した作品です。　ひとつめ、『2027』。　10 年後のじぶんに宛てて見せたいものを、8mm フィルムを使って撮っていただきました。ご自身に向かってお手紙も書いていただき、録音した声を映像に添えています。参加していただいた5 名の方たち、それぞれのイメージと声に、とても感銘を受けています。わたしの仕事は、耳を澄まし、それらを編んでいくことでした。　「この土地の未来」についてわたしに何が語り得るのか、わかりませんでしたが、この5 名の方々が示す、10 年後のじぶんに託す思いこそが、「この土地の未来」なのではないでしょうか。　みなさんの映像と声から綴られた「祈り」が、この土地に響きますように。　この土地に暮らす人、この土地を訪れる人、帰ってきては去っていく人、誰かの記憶の片隅に「この土地の未来」を感じさせる作品として、細々と生き残っていきますように。　ふたつめ、『残像』。芸術村の中庭、建築物の外面3 面に映像を投影。1. 10 年後のじぶんに宛てて見せたいものを、8mm フィルムを使って撮っていただいた映像( 右)2. 参加者のみなさんが撮影している姿を、私が撮影した映像( 左)3. 参加者のお一人に見せていただいた40 数年前の8mm フィルムの映像( 中央)各々長さの違う映像に、『この道』という童謡をのせています。映像を撮られた方たち、歌をうたっている方、みなさん滞在中に出会った人たちです。撮り残され、秋吉台に映されたこれらの映像を、この土地の未来へ捧げます。Residence ProjectI made two works.Both are the works that have been deprived from aworkshop I held during my stay.The first one, “2027”I kindly requested the participants to film what theywould like to show to themselves in 10 years with an8mm film camera. After each participant wrote a letterto him/herself, I recorded his/her voice and added it toeach film.I am very fascinated with all the 5 participants, theirimages and voice. My duty was only to listen carefully,and to weave those images.I was not sure what I could tell about the future of thisland, but thoughts they entrusted to themselves in 10years would be the very future of this land.I hope that their prayer composed of films and voicewould reverberate in this land.For those who live in this land, those who visit thisland, or those who come back and leave, I wish this filmwould keep being in the far back of their memories ina silent manner as a film to make them feel the futureof this land.The second one, “Afterimage”3 channel video on the courtyard and the walls of theAIAV buildings.1. a film that the participants shot with an 8mm filmcamera in order to show themselves in 10 years.
