35『インサイドアウト＆アウトサイドイン』 展示会場ではじめに観客が目にすることになるのは、インスタレーションのタイトルでもある本作品です。日本式ハンドジェスチャーの“こっちこっち”と“あっちへいけ”から成る映像作品です。 時折“こっちこっち”のジェスチャーは逆再生され“あっちへいけ”というジェスチャーへ変わり、外部を招く行為と拒絶が入り混じります。Inside Out & Outside InWhat the audience is to see first in the exhibition spaceis this video piece composed by Japanese-style handgestures for “come here” and “go away”. The title ofthis work is also used for the whole installation.Occasionally the “come here” gesture is played backwardsturning itself into “go away”, and hence an act ofinviting outsiders and that of refusal are mingled.
