41『みえないひと』白岩裕子森を彷徨う風?つゆ知らずながれつく風 声を潜める絵画? 白岩さんは福島出身で東京での生活を経て山口へ引っ越してこられた抽象画家です。白岩さんはこの地域における余所者であり、その絵画制作にもそのような余所者としての感性が根ざしていると話されます。インスタレーション内部に生まれる闇にひっそりと白岩さんの絵画が息を潜めています。 それは“うち”の空気を乱さない、あくまで空気に調和するように新たな環境に身を置く余所者の所作といえます。 展示室から外へ出るドアを開け自然光が空間に強く流れ込むことで、ひっそり身を隠していた他者の存在は明るみになります。invisible oneYuko ShiraiwaWind wandering in the forest- Painting in silence like a wind coming fromoutside speechlessly -Ms. Shiraiwa, originally from Fukushima, isan abstract painter. She moved to Yamaguchiafter living in Tokyo. She herself explainsthat she is an outsider in this region,and that sensitivity as an outsider is rootedin her art practice.Her paintings are holding their breath indarkness produced by my installation. It isan act by an outsider to place oneself in anew environment, trying to harmonize withthe atmosphere not to ruin the “inside”.When the exit door is opened allowing naturallight to stream in, the existence of “theother” that has concealed itself is bound tosurface.
