秋吉台国際芸術村 Akiyoshidai International Art Village アーティスト・イン・レジデンス20周年記念記録集 2008-2019
2000年より道路や床、壁などの破損した箇所「凹み」をモチーフとした立体作品を制作。古い、汚いといった負のイメージを持つ「凹み」も鮮やかな黄色の凸板をはめ込むと、意表をつく斬新さ、ほのぼのとさせられる愛嬌、えぐりとるような圧倒的な力などの美しさが浮かび上がる。さらに、その平面のオブジェクトを蝶番を取り付けて畳み・また開くを繰り返しながら、私自身の形をスタディしている。2014年より上空から見下ろした街のかたちを地球上にできた「凹み」と捉え、緑と市街地の境を写し取ったものをもとに立体作品とする街シリーズも展開している。Since 2000, I have created three-dimensional works focusingon concaves such as damaged areas on streets, floors, andwalls. Placing vivid yellow convexes on them, these concaveswith old and dirty impressions unexpectedly engender beautywith innovative, charming, and overwhelming qualities. Withrepetitions of foldings and openings with hinges put on thesurfaces of the objects, I strive to find my own forms.
