私は人間と動物の関係、繋がりから体温や匂い、愛着といった何かを感じ取っている。毛や血は哺乳類と人間の共通するものであり、生命の象徴である。「毛は付けるものではなく、生えるもの。」、「血液は体から出るもの。」である。私は毛皮といった表面の「発毛」という状態を再現するために、「毛が生えるパネル」を発明した。これはチェーンソーを表面にあてるだけで、自動的に毛が生える仕組みになっている。それから、板の上に油絵具で塑像することで、彫刻から板に体液のように油が滲み出す作品もある。このように、現実的な法則を作品に取り入れることにより、作品をより現実的なものにする。I‘ve perceived something like vital warmth, smell, attachmentfrom relationship between human and animals, and somethingconnecting them.Hair and blood are common in mammals, and symbol of thelife. “Hair isn’t something to attach afterwards, It grows.” and“Blood is bleeding from body.” So hair have to be grown fromthe artworks themselves, and blood have to be come out fromthe inside of the artworks themselves. I’ve invented “hair-growingpanel” to reproduce a condition of “growing hair” on the surfacelike hair. Hair grows automatically simply by shaving thesurface with chainsaw. And then, by making into figures with oilpaints on board, oil paints oozes out from the sculpture to theboard like body fluid.
