私の制作活動の動機は「制作プロセスを見せること」です。制作過程の中にある制作者に身体と精神が変容していく様は、ある意味で結果として登場する作品よりも大事なものが含まれていると考えています。制作過程の中で考えること、アイデアが変わっていくこと、そしてその期間に様々な出会い、つくり手も訪問者やその場所さえ影響されていくこと、これらは美術がもつ利点であり、社会における美術の役割や希望であるとも思います。鑑賞者は一般的に美術館やギャラリーでは完成された作品しか見られません。しかし美術というものは考える事、そして手を動かして創作し、その中でさらに考える事、それら全てがアートそのものであると私は思います。My creative motivation comes from “showing creative process”.I consider transformative process happening in theartist body and mind during creation more important than thework as the result of it. Imagination in the creative process,transforming ideas, and encounters during such period, influencesto the artist, visitors and the place itself, I think theseare the merits of art and the art has a role and a hope for oursociety. Usually audience can only see completed works inmuseums and galleries.
