I am interested in redefining them as componentsof machines and observing how the relationship between athing and its meaning is transformed once its original “endand means (i.e. form, design)” are separated and given differentperspectives. Although such machines are simple, theydisplay complex, unexpected movements. For me, machinesare “things that are beyond control”. “What is beyond control”is the world itself. Producing works is a way to communicatewith every phenomena of the world that we cannot place underour control.067
