Numbers of artists accepted<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

\uff08\uff11\uff093 artists (2 of international, 1 of Japanese), under 40 years old.
\uff08\uff12\uff09Artists who work on the theme above.
\uff08\uff13\uff09You may apply as a group no larger than 2 artists.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Eligibility<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Artists who must be able:
\uff08\uff11\uff09to communicate in English or Japanese.
\uff08\uff12\uff09to stay at AIAV during the designated period of time.
\uff08\uff13\uff09to participate in all pubic programs, e.g. open studio, presentations and talks and to create new work.
\uff08\uff14\uff09to participate in the exchange programs for local community, e.g. talks, lectures and outreach programs.
\uff08\uff15\uff09to provide images and documentations, e.g. pictures and videos, for publicity and archiving in accordance with AIAV\u2019s request.
\uff08\uff16\uff09to take part in educational programs at local schools and universities in English or Japanese.
\uff08\uff17\uff09to work and live independently.
\uff08\uff18\uff09to present the results of the residence program, e.g. exhibitions, reviews or talks outside Japan within a year after the program.

Support<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

\uff08\uff11\uff09Travel expenses: A one time round trip from your neighboring international airport to AIAV (Economy class air tickets for international flights, domestic flights and\/or domestic railway tickets)
\uff08\uff12\uff09Accommodation at AIAV (private room with bath\/toilet)
\uff08\uff13\uff09Studio (assignment will be arranged after due deliberation: artists may have to share with others)
\uff08\uff14\uff09Production expenses:  200,000 yen
\uff08\uff15\uff09Per diem: 2,800 yen x days of the program<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Copyright and Publicity<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

\uff08\uff11\uff09Artworks produced during the program belong to the artists.
\uff08\uff12\uff09Images, taken during the program, e.g. photos of the artists and exhibition views, belong to AIAV.
\uff08\uff13\uff09Artists are expected to be cooperative when photographed and asked to participate in publicity, e.g. for newspaper interviews.
\uff08\uff14\uff09Artists may be asked to loan or donate their pieces of work.
