PROFILE

Ribon AIDA

Ribon AIDA won 1st Prize (and also Masuzawa Prize, Leucadia prize, Kuroyanagi Prize and Sumi Prize) at the 81st Music Competition of Japan in 2012 during her career with Soloist Diploma course of Toho Gakuen College. She also won the 1st Prize and Grand Prix at the 6th Romania International Music Competition in 2010, the 2nd Prize (no first prize winner) at the strings category of the 1st Akiyoshidai Music Competition in 2012, the 1st Prize at the chamber music category of the 3rd Akiyoshidai Music Competition in 2014, the 1st Prize at the SALZBURG=MOZART International Chamber Music Competition in 2015.

Highlights of past seasons included performances with The Romanian Radio National Orchestra, Tokyo Symphony, Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra, Tokyo City Philharmonic Orchestra, Gunma Symphony Orchestra, Central Aichi Symphony Orchestra and Osaka Philharmonic Orchestra. She has participated in Spring Festival in Tokyo, Nihonbashi Atrium Concert, Miyazaki Music Festival, Beppu Argerich Music Festival, Silvester Concert in Yokohama Minato Mirai Hall, Silvester Concert in Biwako Hall. She took part in Saito Kinen Orchestra and Mito Chamber Orchestra as the youngest member. Ribon has been chosen the CHANEL Pygmalion Days 2014 Artist.

She has been participated in Ozawa International Chamber Music Academy Okushiga for 7 consecutive years since 2010, and formed Okushiga Quartet in 2014. She was invited as a guest concert mistress to Gunma Symphony Orchestra, Kanagawa Philharmonic Orchestra, Kyoto Philharmonic chamber Orchestra, Osaka Philharmonic Orchestra, The Japan Century Symphony Orchestra and The Kyushu Symphony Orchestra. She has appeared in NHK E-tele “La la la Classic”, NHK-BS “Classic Club”, NHK-FM “Recital Nova”. She studied under Asako IWASAWA and Takeaki SUMI, currently she is studying under Tsugio TOKUNAGA. She studied chamber music under Seiji OZAWA, Sadao HARADA, Machie OGURI, Yoshiko KAWAMOTO and Yosuke KAWASAKI.
She finished the Soloist Diploma course of Toho Gakuen college.

István KOHÁN

István KOHÁN is the Hungarian clarinetist. He started to learn Clarinet under his father. He admitted to the class of special talents at Béla Bartók Conservatory at the age of 12. He won the 1st Prize at the János Richter National Clarinet Competition, International Contest for Clarinet “Town of Carlino”, The Anton Eberst Competition and ICA Competition. He moved his base to Japan after graduated at the Franz Liszt Academy of music Budapest in 2013. He won 1st prize and audience prize at the 11th Tokyo Music Competition, Japan in 2013. He won the Junior Prima Awards in Hungry. In 2015 he won the 1st prize and Grand Prix at Akiyoshidai Music competition, the 1st prize and audience prize at Japan Woodwind Competition, the 1st prize and audience prize at Japan’s most prestigious music contest the 84th Japanese Music Competition. In 2016 he graduated his postgraduate studies at Tokyo College of Music. He performed with orchestras in Japan as the Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra, the New Japan Philharmonic Orchestra, the Kioi Sinfonietta, Tokyo College of Music Symphony Orchestra with conductors as Antonio Mendez, Kazuki Sawa, Toshiaki Umeda, Masahiko Enkoji, Shigeo Genda. Now he teaches younger people at Tokyo College of Music.

Chika MURATA

Chika MURATA graduated The Music High School attached to Tokyo University of the Arts and the Graduate School of Tokyo University of the Arts. She moved to Europe in 2003. She got the scholarship from Agency for Cultural Affairs in Japan and graduated from the Graduate School of the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna. In 2006 she won Austria Thomastik-Infeld-Preis. In 2009 she won International Competition “Franz Schubert and Modern Music” and jury’s special award of International Joseph Haydn Chamber Music Competition. Not only in Japan, but also in Austria, Germany, Italy, Switzerland and Serbia she has been held concerts positively. Her first project Sound and Piano Ensemble concert series that was held for 2 years since 2012 with artists who are active in the front lines received high acclaim. She starts new concert series “Shitsunaigaku no Daigomi” in 2016. She won the Okuwa Cultural Encouragement Award, Wakayama City Cultural Encouragement Award, Wakayama Prefecture Cultural Encouragement Award. Now she teaches younger people at Tokyo College of Music and Seitoku University. She is currently the residence artist of Fukinotoh Hall since 2016.
