Juan Ramón Jiménez is one of the most important poet in Spain. He was born in Moguer, a beautiful town in Andalusia and well known for his masterpiece "Platero y yo (Platero and I)."
With Yoshiko Tozawa, a doctor of literature, we will make a journey to find characteristics of his poetry, Jiménez himself, and Moguer where "Platero and I" was set in.

Information
“Foam core board” is known as material for a food tray. In this workshop, we use a foam core board as a printing plate.
First, draw a picture on the foam to make groove with a pencil.
Next, apply paints to the board and print on paper.
And, your drawing appears on paper as a white line.
Let’s draw “your favorite animal” this time!

Yoshiko Tazawa
Born in Kobe city. Graduated from Departamento de Estudios Hispánicos at Osaka University (formerly Osaka University of Foreign Studies). Doctor of literature (comparative literature). She held several positions such as a visiting researcher at Dublin City University and a lecturer at Osaka University. She is now a lecturer at Kansai University.
